Darren Davidson Appointed Vice President of Siemens Energy UK&I and Siemens Gamesa UK

has appointed Darren Davidson as the Vice President of Siemens Energy UK&I and Siemens Gamesa . In this role, Davidson will oversee a team of approximately 6,000 professionals across various locations in Great Britain and , including key facilities in Lincoln, Manchester, Hull, Newcastle, and .

With over 35 years of experience in the energy, power generation, and engineering sectors, Davidson brings a wealth of expertise to his new position. His career includes roles at Alstom Power, where he served in project capacities, focusing on turnkey power station construction projects in the UK and Bahrain.

Returning to Siemens in 2006, Davidson led project teams within the company's UK power generation business. In 2013, he relocated to Canada, assuming the role of Head of Energy Services with a focus on service operations across power generation, oil & gas, and wind generation markets. After returning to Newcastle in 2017, Davidson served as the leader of the UK's gas services business for over seven years.

Expressing pride in his new role, Darren Davidson stated, “From grid technology to power generation and wind, I believe we are ideally placed to help the UK deliver on its energy transition targets. Our people make the difference, and it's a privilege to lead such a dedicated team playing a critical role in the UK's journey to net zero.”
