Renewable energy power producer Juniper Green Energy Pvt Ltd, based in India, has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat for the potential development of 1 GW of wind and solar parks in the western Indian state.
The agreement, announced on Wednesday, outlines an estimated investment of INR 80 billion (USD 961 million/EUR 877 million) for the establishment of these new clean power projects.

The signing of the MoU took place in conjunction with the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024, reflecting the commitment of both parties to advance sustainable and innovative energy initiatives in the region.
Juniper Green Energy, a subsidiary of the AT Group, expressed its eagerness to leverage its expertise in driving innovation, generating employment opportunities, and fostering sustainable development in Gujarat.
The company, launched in October 2018, currently boasts an operational portfolio of around 800 MW, with an additional 435 MW under construction and over 3 GW under development.
