Swedish renewable energy company Eolus has successfully completed the transfer of a 125MW portfolio of onshore wind farms in Sweden to BKW, the designated owner. The portfolio includes the Skallberget/Utterberget, Tjärnäs, and Rosenskog projects, collectively featuring 19 turbines.
These sites, situated in Avesta, Hedemora, and Falköping municipalities within price area SE3 in southern Sweden, were acquired by BKW in June 2023. Eolus efficiently managed the construction phase under a Construction Management Agreement on behalf of BKW.
Upon the projects' completion, Eolus is set to record remaining revenues in the fourth quarter of 2023, with payments expected in the early part of the first quarter of 2024.
The electricity generated by the wind farms will be purchased by a major unnamed global energy company through a Power Purchase Agreement, contributing to the continued growth of renewable energy in the region.
Under a long-term contract, Eolus will continue to provide technical, operational, and administrative services for the developments during their operational phase.
Eolus CEO Per Witalisson expressed pride in delivering the projects to BKW on schedule and within budget. He looks forward to the ongoing collaboration with BKW in the operational phase, leveraging Eolus's established track record in delivering technical and administrative asset management services.
