Centurion Group, a prominent rental equipment specialist, has successfully acquired H2M Offshore Accommodations, a global provider of offshore accommodation and workspace modules based in the Netherlands. With a presence in Denmark, H2M specializes in supplying high-quality offshore accommodation modules to the offshore wind sector through rental and sales.
H2M's modular solutions are designed for easy deployment, featuring substantial reductions in weight without compromising structural strength. This design approach aims to limit load on platforms while ensuring maximum comfort and security in challenging offshore environments, particularly in the offshore wind sector.
Fernando Assing, CEO of Centurion Group, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, describing it as a transformative move for Centurion. He emphasized the complementarity of H2M's product offering with Centurion's Accommodation & Modular business line, enhancing the ability to serve customers with an expanded and diverse range of premium modular solutions. Assing also highlighted the strategic alignment with Centurion's goal to grow its presence in the European renewable energy sector, leveraging H2M's established track record in Europe's offshore wind projects.
Edwin van Zuijlen, Managing Director of H2M, welcomed the acquisition, emphasizing the benefits of joining a global group like Centurion with access to capital. He highlighted the potential for growth in H2M's rental fleet and infrastructure, enabling the company to provide a broader range of accommodation and modular solutions to existing customers and pursue strategic ambitions. The entire H2M team is excited about the opportunities that being part of Centurion will bring, according to van Zuijlen.
