Vestas, the renowned Danish wind turbine maker, announced the signing of a supplier agreement for a prominent British offshore wind farm project. The company also disclosed exclusivity agreements for two additional projects in Britain, in collaboration with Sweden’s Vattenfall.
According to the terms of the agreement, Vestas is set to supply 92 turbines for the Norfolk Vanguard West project, boasting a substantial 1.38 gigawatt (GW) capacity. Moreover, the company has the potential to provide up to 184 turbines for the Norfolk Vanguard East and Norfolk Boreas projects, collectively yielding an impressive 2.76 GW in installed capacity.

In a joint statement, the companies expressed that these agreements mark a notable stride towards the realization of one of the world’s largest offshore wind zones. The combined capacity of these projects is anticipated to meet the energy needs of over 4 million homes in the United Kingdom.
