Land and infrastructure investor Renewa has closed a sale leaseback (SLB) transaction with Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE) for the 168MW White Wing Ranch Solar project in Maricopa County, Arizona. This strategic deal supports the ongoing expansion of LRE's project pipeline while allowing the company to retain long-term site control for the construction and operation of the solar project.
Renewa's co-Founder and co-chief executive, Gage Mooring, highlighted the significance of the transaction, emphasizing Renewa's commitment to partnering with developers and providing essential capital despite challenges in tightening capital markets. The White Wing Ranch Solar partnership with LRE is part of Renewa's broader mission to accelerate the renewable energy transition in the United States by serving as a capital and land partner to renewable developers, owners, and operators.
