German renewables developer AG (ETR:AB9) has announced the signing of power purchase agreements (PPAs) with a US technology firm, covering the entire output of a wind farm under construction in and a solar site project in Spain.

The Finnish wind power facility, located near Illevaara in the Kainuu region, is currently under construction and is expected to feature five V162 turbines with a targeted nominal output of 30 MW, generating 100 GWh annually. Commissioning is scheduled for February 2024.

Simultaneously, the solar power will be supplied from a 50-MWp project in the Guadalajara Province, central Spain. This solar facility is anticipated to produce 100 GWh of clean electricity annually, with operations expected to commence in mid-2025.

The recently signed PPAs, each with a 10-year term, solidify agreements with an unnamed US offtaker. Both projects, developed by ABO Wind, are initiatives to be constructed on a turnkey basis.
