Singapore's Sembcorp Industries has successfully concluded the acquisition of 200 MW of wind farms in China, just over a week after initially announcing the deal.
The company acquired a 100% stake in Qinzhou Yuanneng Wind Power Co Ltd from Envision Energy Co Ltd, a Chinese wind power equipment manufacturer.
The wind farms, located in the Guangxi region, were part of the transaction, with the total value of the acquisition estimated at SGD 130 million (USD 97 million / EUR 90.1 million).
This strategic move has augmented Sembcorp's diversified portfolio, which encompasses wind, solar, and energy storage, reaching a cumulative capacity of 12.6 GW.
This figure includes an additional 473 MW from ongoing acquisitions that are yet to be finalized, as indicated by the Singaporean group.
