Altano Energy Boosts Renewable Portfolio with Successful Connection of Twin 32MW Solar Plants in Puertollano, Spain

Energy, a prominent renewable energy platform based in and Italy, has successfully connected two new solar plants, each rated at 32MW, to the grid in Puertollano, Spain. The combined output of the arrays, which have been operationalized by Altano Energy, has reached 83,230MWh, equivalent to the energy consumption of approximately 28,065 homes. These projects mark Altano's first fully launched photovoltaic endeavors and complement the company's existing 60MW generation in the region, with an additional 200MW of wind, solar, and hybrid projects currently in various stages of construction.

, a key collaborator in the comprehensive project framework, has been instrumental in providing operational and services. This partnership extends from overseeing the projects' construction to ensuring their seamless integration into the grid.

The Puertollano and El Villar sites, now operating at full capacity, feature a 220kV substation. Altano Energy's achievement in producing 83,230MWh surpasses the initial project goal, attaining an impressive performance index of 83%.

In a statement, Altano Energy's Chief Operating Officer, Iñigo Sánchez-Junco, expressed pride in reaching this milestone in Spain. He emphasized the significance of the Puertollano projects as strategic investments aligned with Altano's goal of building a portfolio of high-quality assets capable of creating added value. Sánchez-Junco credited the technical and management support of Exus for maximizing performance, optimizing efficiency, and mitigating investment risks throughout the construction and connection stages.

Altano Energy and Exus plan to continue their collaborative efforts during the operational phase, focusing on implementing proactive strategies to further enhance asset reliability and performance. Natalia Ordóñez, Exus' Development and Construction Director for Europe, highlighted the success of their integrated approach, ensuring a smooth transition from construction to utilization and emphasizing operational excellence and timely project delivery.

This accomplishment reinforces Altano Energy's commitment to sustainable energy development in Spain, contributing to the consolidation of a diversified portfolio with a total capacity approaching 2GW.
