Exus Management Partners announced on Monday its appointment as the asset management service provider for a 64-MWp grid-connected solar portfolio in Puertollano, south-central Spain, on behalf of Altano Energy, a renewables platform based in Madrid.
The portfolio comprises two solar farms, Puertollano and El Villar, each with a capacity of 32 MWp. Since their completion, the plants have collectively generated approximately 83,230 MWh of electricity, achieving an impressive performance index of 83%, according to Exus.
Altano Energy's strategy involved bringing in Exus' operation and maintenance team at the conclusion of the construction phase, ensuring a seamless transition from construction to utilization. Natalia Ordonez, Development and Construction Director for Europe at Exus, highlighted the success of their approach, emphasizing the operational excellence and timely project delivery achieved through careful management and a highly experienced construction team.
Puertollano and El Villar mark Altano Energy's inaugural fully launched solar projects. The company's diversified portfolio also includes 60 MW of operational hydroelectric stations, with nearly 200 MW of wind, solar, and hybrid projects currently under construction.
Altano Energy, supported by London-based investment house Pioneer Point Partners, continues to advance its presence in the renewable energy sector, exemplified by the strategic partnership with Exus Management Partners for the efficient management of its solar assets.
