Vestas Secures 43 MW Order for Bockenem Wind Project in Germany from SAB WindTeam GmbH

giant has clinched a solid order from SAB WindTeam GmbH for the Bockenem project located in Lower Saxony, . The order encompasses the supply, delivery, and commissioning of seven V162-6.2 MW wind turbines.

Following the project's completion, Vestas will provide comprehensive servicing under a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, aimed at ensuring optimal performance of the turbines.

Vestas' Vice President Sales Central , Sulai Fahimi, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration with SAB, stating, “This project is another great example of the collaboration between SAB and Vestas.” Fahimi extended gratitude to the SAB team for their trust in Vestas and anticipation for future joint projects in the .

Lars Niebuhr, one of SAB WindTeam's Managing Directors, highlighted the significance of the Bockenem wind farm within their extended collaboration with Vestas. Niebuhr emphasized the project's importance as a crucial milestone in their presence in Lower Saxony, underlining their commitment as a reliable partner for all local stakeholders.

The turbine delivery is set to commence in the third quarter of 2024, with the commissioning slated for completion in the second quarter of 2025. The Bockenem project reflects the ongoing strides in Vestas' commitment to sustainable energy solutions and the strengthened partnership with SAB WindTeam GmbH.
