Renewable energy investor Qualitas Energy has successfully obtained approvals for the deployment of over 60 MW of wind capacity in Germany. The approvals come as Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH, the company's German subsidiary, advances its wind energy projects in the country.
The first approved project is the construction of a new wind park in the municipality of Dalkendorf, located in the Rostock district. The proposed wind park will consist of seven 5.7-MW turbines, with an expected completion date set for 2026.
Additionally, Qualitas Energy has received the go-ahead for the repowering of the Waldow wind farm, situated southeast of Berlin. This involves replacing the existing eight turbines with four new ones, each boasting a capacity of 5.6 MW. The commissioning of the repowered Waldow wind farm is scheduled for 2025.
The Qualitas Energy Group, with a diverse portfolio exceeding 5 GW of operating and development energy assets, underscores its commitment to renewable energy across various markets. The portfolio comprises over 3 GW of wind energy and 1 GWp of solar photovoltaic projects, with a geographical presence spanning Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, Poland, and Chile. This latest approval reinforces Qualitas Energy's position in contributing to Germany's renewable energy landscape and aligns with its broader strategy of advancing clean energy initiatives globally.
