The Baltic Power project, a joint endeavor between Orlen and Northland Power in Poland, has initiated the tender process for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) work through a request for information (RFI). The 1140MW project has strategically divided the scope of work into five key areas, encompassing above-water turbines, foundations, and transition pieces; below-water turbines, foundations, and transition pieces; offshore substation; onshore substation; and array and export cables.
Companies participating in the tender are being sought to inspect, survey, and service these designated areas. At this stage of the procurement process, the project is keen on understanding the market's capability to undertake either specific aspects or the entirety of the scope deliverables. In response to the RFI, potential O&M service providers are invited to indicate whether they prefer to offer a single service or a combination of services. This includes expressing interest in maintaining the entire Balance of Plant O&M scope.
The deadline for questions from interested respondents is set for November 28, with the final responses expected by December 15. The Baltic Power project's meticulous approach to the tender process reflects a concerted effort to engage with capable service providers and ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of the offshore wind venture.
