German roofing, plumbing, and carpentry company Hanebutt Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Sunmaxx PVT GmbH, a Dresden-based manufacturer specializing in photovoltaic-thermal solar (PVT) modules. As part of the collaboration, Hanebutt, along with its SW-Dach unit specializing in facades, roofing, and solar mounting systems, will integrate Sunmaxx modules into projects across their main locations, including Hanover, Berlin, Hamburg, Herbolzheim, and Relzow.
Sunmaxx's technology combines traditional photovoltaics with solar thermal elements, enabling modules to simultaneously generate electricity and heat. The company asserts that its product achieves over 80% solar efficiency, providing a robust performance. The partnership aims to leverage Hanebutt's extensive reach and expertise in construction to advance the deployment of PVT installations and sustainable energy solutions throughout Germany.
Franz Ziering, Chief Sales Officer at Sunmaxx, expressed enthusiasm about convincing the Hanebutt Group of the benefits of their technology. Ziering emphasized the joint commitment to building impactful projects that contribute to the expansion of PVT installations and the broader adoption of sustainable energy solutions across the country.
This collaboration follows Sunmaxx's recent initiative to establish a manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 50 MW in Ottendorf-Okrilla, reinforcing the company's dedication to scaling its production capabilities. The partnership with Hanebutt marks a strategic move for both entities, aligning with the growing emphasis on innovative and integrated solar solutions within the construction and renewable energy sectors in Germany.
