Chinese stationary battery manufacturer, Hithium, and FlexGen Power Systems Inc, a provider of integration services and software technology for energy storage, have inked a comprehensive three-year cooperation agreement.
The collaboration entails FlexGen's commitment to facilitating the procurement of 10 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of battery capacity from Hithium. This acquisition will occur either through project initiatives or indirectly from partners employing FlexGen's energy management system (EMS), HybridOS software, and controls.
Conversely, Hithium will play a pivotal role in securing contracts for FlexGen's EMS, covering projects with a cumulative capacity of 15 GWh, either directly or through its network of partners. Additionally, FlexGen has been designated as the authorized service provider for Hithium in the United States.
This strategic collaboration follows Hithium's recent achievement of a significant 1-GWh battery supply deal with Perfect Power LLC, based in the United States. The partnership with FlexGen aligns with both companies' objectives to contribute to the growing energy storage sector and reinforces their position in the evolving landscape of battery technology and energy management systems.
The three-year agreement highlights the shared commitment of Hithium and FlexGen to advancing battery storage capabilities and solidifying their presence in the dynamic and expanding US energy market.
