H2PLT, a player in the green hydrogen and electric mobility sector, has officially applied for a listing on BME Scaleup, Spain's trading segment for burgeoning companies. The Spanish firm anticipates a fundraising of approximately EUR 15 million (USD 16.4 million) in the upcoming months, with plans to join Spain's stock exchange between December 2023 and January 2024.
Established by Spanish entrepreneur Sisco Sapena in February 2022, H2PLT specializes in constructing modular mini-generation setups. These systems leverage solar power to generate hydrogen during the day, subsequently converting it into electricity at night.
The produced electricity is intended for sale to the wholesale market or for use within H2PLT's network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
Having initiated operations in early 2023, H2PLT has already implemented a notable project—a 24-charger EV charging station at the El Pedernoso solar farm in Cuenca province, east-central Spain. The company holds 80 hectares (197.7 acres) of land at El Pedernoso, where it plans to install 14 hydrogen mini-generation modules, aiming to establish a 40-megawatt generation facility capable of producing up to 2.5 tonnes of hydrogen per day.
H2PLT outlined its broader ambition to secure EUR 85 million in funding over the next five years, intending to expand production capacity across Spain.
