Danish wind turbine maker Vestas on Tuesday said it has secured an order to provide 239 MW of turbines for an undisclosed wind project in the US.
Under the contract, the company will supply, deliver and commission 53 units of its V163-4.5 MW machine. Delivery will start in the fourth quarter of 2024, while commissioning is planned to take place in 2025.
The order also includes a multi-year service agreement.
Vestas earlier this month reported a return to third-quarter profit and narrowed its full-year revenue guidance. The manufacturer added that it remained on track to deliver positive earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) in 2023.
Its quarterly intake of firm and unconditional wind turbine orders jumped by 138% on the year to 4,502 MW.
