The Nordex Group has recently received an order for 56 MW in Croatia from ENCRO d.o.o, a notable wind farm developer and operator in the country, and Adris Grupa, an independent investment company. The order consists of eight N163/6.X turbines intended for the “Visoka” wind farm, accompanied by a Premium Service agreement covering a 30-year period.
Scheduled for delivery and installation in the fall of 2024 near the town of Sinj, northeast of Split, the turbines from the Delta4000 series will be mounted on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 113 meters. Operational commencement is expected by the end of 2024, with the 30-year Premium manufacturer service ensuring extended turbine availability and optimal wind farm performance throughout its service life.
Expressing satisfaction with the collaboration, Patxi Landa, Chief Sales Officer of the Nordex Group, remarked, “This is a further important step for Nordex in Croatia, and we are pleased with our contribution to the energy transition in the region.”
Branimir Ivković, Head of Business Development Wind at ENCRO, emphasized the significance of the Visoka project in advancing renewable energy generation capacity in Croatia. Ivković stated, “Thanks to the close collaboration with our partner Adris Grupa, we look forward to building upon our first joint PV and Wind investments in Croatia.”
For Adris Grupa, recognized for its presence in the tourism, food, and insurance sectors, the “Visoka” wind farm marks its inaugural venture into the energy sector. ENCRO, with 141 MW in operation, 164 MW in construction, and a pipeline of 1,000 MW, has been actively involved in developing green energy projects in Croatia.
The Nordex Group has witnessed an increase in demand from Croatia since 2019, having sold and installed a total of 154 turbines, making it one of the market leaders with 635 MW in the country. The N163/6.X turbines for the Visoka project in 2024 will be the company's most powerful turbines in Croatia, signaling a significant milestone for the Mediterranean nation.
Visoka represents the first order for N163/6.X turbines from Croatia, solidifying the success of this turbine type since its launch two years ago, with a global sales record exceeding 3,000 MW.
