Vattenfall’s South Kyle Wind Farm Reaches Major Milestone with Final Turbine Installation

Vattenfall, a leading European energy company, has reached a major milestone in its largest onshore development in the UK, the 240MW in Scotland. The fiftieth and final turbine, Turbine H04, has been successfully installed, marking the end of the 11-month installation programme.

The installation of the turbine's three 64-metre blades was the culmination of an extensive project that saw 450 major components individually transported from Ayr and Glasgow to the site southeast of Dalmellington for assembly and installation. The commissioning and testing phase is currently underway, and the wind farm is expected to be fully operational over the summer months.
