EEW KHPC has formalized a preferred supply agreement for the fabrication and supply of pin piles for the 532MW Anma Offshore Wind Power project in South Korea. Under this agreement, EEW KHPC will be responsible for manufacturing and supplying 60 pin piles—a crucial substructure supporting a 14MW wind turbine, blades, and tower.
The Anma Offshore Wind Power project is located approximately 40km west of Anma Island in Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do. It is set to become South Korea's first large-scale offshore wind power complex, featuring 38 wind power generators. This project stands as the largest offshore wind power initiative in Korea to date.
Construction is slated to commence in the first half of the upcoming year, with completion expected by 2028. Dr. Kwan-Gyu (Alex) Tak, the managing director of EEW KHPC, expressed the company's satisfaction, stating, “As a South Korean company, we are pleased to contribute to one of the early offshore wind power projects in South Korea.” Dr. Tak also highlighted the project's anticipated impact, noting that “More than 1.4 million local residents will be supplied with electricity by Anma annually.”
This development aligns with South Korea's renewable energy goals and marks a notable step in the country's transition to green energy.
