KPI Green Energy Secures Contract to Develop 22.3-MWp Photovoltaic Park in Gujarat

Indian and hybrid power company, KPI Green Energy, has landed a substantial contract to oversee the installation of a 22.3-MWp (PV) park on behalf of Mumbai-based Aditya Birla Ltd. The announcement of the Letter of Award (LOA) for this project was made through a bourse filing by KPI Green on Tuesday. While specific details regarding the value of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) award remain undisclosed, the implications are significant.

The comprehensive scope of the contract encompasses the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the PV farm at an undisclosed location within the state of . This initiative is set to go online during the fiscal year 2023/2024. Furthermore, the agreement extends to securing the necessary approvals, grid synchronization, as well as conducting performance acceptance and facility acceptance tests to ensure a seamless transition to operational status.

The LOA was registered through KPI Green's Captive Power Producer (CPP) business segment. Interestingly, this segment also celebrated two additional orders for 2.7 MW of solar projects, expanding its total order to a formidable 115 MW. These new contracts were awarded by Atlantia Polyfab Pvt Ltd and Vineet Polyfab Pvt Ltd, marking significant progress for the company in the solar energy sector.

KPI Green Energy has set an ambitious goal to achieve 1 GW of installed capacity by 2025, underscoring its commitment to advancing the renewable energy landscape in .
