R Power has successfully acquired photovoltaic (PV) projects in Poland, boasting a combined capacity of 91MWp. These projects were purchased from EOS, a joint venture controlled by Cero Generation. Most of the acquired projects are in an advanced state of readiness, and R Power is planning to commence their expansion efforts in 2024.
Klaudiusz Kalisz, a board member of R Power, expressed the significance of this transaction in the company's ongoing expansion within the Polish market. He stated, “This transaction marks the next step in expanding our portfolio in the Polish market. Currently, both in Poland and in other European markets, we have almost 1.5GWp of projects with secured grid access and over 21GWp of capacity in earlier stages of project development.”
One of the notable strengths of R Power lies in its stable capital base, which includes investments from both Polish and foreign investors. This includes commitments from entities such as the Three Seas Fund and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, amounting to €250 million. This financial backing provides the company with a strong foundation to carry out substantial investments in photovoltaic sources across Europe with confidence and predictability.
