-based energy company has sealed a multi-year agreement to provide electricity to building materials manufacturer Compagnie de Saint-Gobain SA (EPA:SGO).

This 14-year (PPA) outlines the supply of 500 GWh of renewable energy throughout the duration of the contract.

The sourced electricity will originate from two solar farms situated in the Moselle department. The agreed-upon capacity will effectively cover the energy needs of 11 Saint-Gobain facilities in France.

This PPA marks Saint-Gobain's third agreement of this nature within its home country. The collective impact of these agreements is projected to reduce the company's Scope 2 emissions in France by nearly 10% by 2024, compared to levels recorded in 2017, as highlighted in a statement released by the French corporation today.
